In case you can’t really rely on your brain to remind you of all events you need to attend to, or even upcoming tasks, you might want to use specialized applications like Two Notes. With cool visuals, and possibility to create more notes and keep them on the desktop, you’re sure to be at least a little less late next time.

All notes you create get saved inside a menu, which is the first thing showing up on launch. There are already several notes inside the menu just to give you an idea of the diversity of options, and how these can be used to your advantage. What’s more, one of the items on the menu needs to be the default type showing up every time you create a new note, with no option to create a blank one unless the default template is blank.

Notes come in a slim size, but this can be changed from the context menu. Here you find options for individual management of notes, ranging from text customization, to visual tweaking of the note itself.

Text benefits from all common options, like fonts, styles, attributes, color, and size. As for a note, you can pick from several color themes, a style which can be rounded or a rectangle, category, as well as time signature to use, with the default one set to time.

For a bit more comfort, notes slide and stick to the upper side of the screen and only let visible the signature to recognize them. Notes can remain there the entire time, and they gently reveal content on mouseover.

Categories are easy to configure, with the only requirement being a name. However, these are only visible in the note context menu, with no large list of notes based on categories. Sadly, alarms can’t be set to remind you of upcoming events.

All things considered, we can state that Two Notes is a lightweight tool to spice up your desktop with colorful notes. There’s not so much functionality behind the shiny aesthetic design. However, it’s easy enough to use, with a menu holding all notes, which can also be left hanging from the top of the screen with preview on mouseover.
