UDC

UDC is an application designed to test the quality of data-protection systems and also to provide methods for secure passwords storing.

The main purpose of UDC is the recovery of passwords by the given hash-values. Typical user can recovery own forgotten passwords, for example, Windows NT authorization passwords. The user can apply UDC for monitoring of changes in the specified directories or groups of files.

Organizations can observe the local security level; for instance, administration of e-mail server can reveal "weak" passwords in the system using the UDC.

Developers may use the UDC for diagnostics of own security services or for testing new hash-algorithms. Moreover, UDC can be applied as the high-speed authorization component in server-side applications.

Limitations:

￭ Nag screen ￭ Unregistered version of progam can not delete single user hash, it allows only clearing the whole list. More than 2 minutes in distributed mode is prohibited, and single-computer evaluations are also time-limited. ￭ The full version differs from a demo in content of library NewUDC.dll which represents the basic component of the passwords cracker. Some functions have not been included in a binary code of a demo version, therefore for getting of the fully-functional version it is needed to replace this file.
