Although it’s only advisable to change operating system advanced settings with a proper knowledge base, Windows is flexible in this regard, with the Control Panel being the headquarters of PC functionality. However, it can get tricky to find the option of interest, because of the complicated default layout of functions, and this is where Ultra Panel comes in handy.

The application comes in a lightweight package, with a BAT installation file integrating it in the system in the blink of an eye. A desktop shortcut is created so that access is provided right away, or every time the computer starts.

It doesn’t really have an interface of its own. What it actually does is to provide an organized view of every single Control Panel area, and function manageable. Items are shown in a File Explorer window, with expandable menus to keep only items of interest in plain sight.

Since it uses File Explorer as a display host, default system functions can be used. For instance, all categories can either be expanded, or collapsed from dedicated context menu options. More importantly, the upper toolbar search field can be used to filter out all unnecessary entries, and quickly identify the exact function in need.
