Every file takes up some amount of disk space, while folders by default take up 0 bits, being only files which count. However, this prevents File Explorer from showing folder size info without accessing the properties panel, which can be rather frustrating when you want to clean your PC. Luckily, developers came out with solutions, with a suitable example being UniDirsize.

Considering its core function, portability comes as a major advantage, allowing you to check directory size for folders on other computers directly from a thumb drive. What’s more, system registry entries are not modified in the process, so you don’t have to worry about the health status of the target PC.

Functionality, as well accommodation are no rocket science. With a minimalistic design, you quickly get the hang of things, although the main window is initially empty. However, adding a folder only requires you to drop it over the main window, with content almost instantly displayed, depending on the size of the directory.
