The main window lets you open the files you want to protect or you can just type out the messages you want to send. You can use a password that you create or let the software generate one for you. This keeps things secure and makes it harder for others to break in.

Loading Your Files

You can load one text file at a time to secure it. When you do this, VaultPad shows you a preview of what’s inside so that you can make changes if needed. Plus, if you've got attachments to add, that's no problem! Just select ‘Save’ from the ‘File’ menu or hit the keyboard shortcut.

Saving Your Work

Once you're ready to save, VaultPad will ask for a name and where you'd like to store the XML file that's created. You'll also have the option to set a password—just check the box! The password can be one that you choose yourself or a random key that VaultPad generates for you.

Reading Protected Files

If someone sends you an encrypted XML file through VaultPad, you'll need the right password to access its contents and attachments. It’s all about keeping your info safe!

Create & Import Keys

You can even create your own public key in this app and export it! If you've got friends who want in on your private chats, they can import their keys too. This way, only your trusted circle can read your conversations.
