Vector NTI Viewer is a handy tool for researchers who want to look at biological molecules and really dig into their structure. It makes the whole process a lot easier!
This software doesn’t just work with Vector NTI molecule documents; it’s also great for data pulled from FASTA, GenBank, and EMBL files. Plus, it can handle nucleotide sequence ASCII files too! You can open all these types of files either through the 'File' menu or just by pasting them right from your clipboard.
A cool feature is that you can open multiple source files at the same time. This is super useful when you want to compare different data sets!
The main window of Vector NTI Viewer is organized into three sections. One pane shows the molecule components, another displays the formatted nucleotide sequence alignment, and the last one graphically represents the molecule structure—both in circular and linear views. There are text annotations to help you grasp what you’re looking at!
If you click on a part of the graphical representation, it will highlight that piece in the nucleotide sequence right away. It’s like magic!
Now, keep in mind that Vector NTI Viewer focuses on displaying molecules only—you can't edit anything here.
You can explore component fragments that make up the molecule and get insights into its functional and restriction maps. Searching for restriction sites or open reading frames (ORFs) is also possible, along with translating sequences.
If you want to share your findings, you can print diagrams using your default printer or copy them to your clipboard. This allows you to drop them into presentations or other projects effortlessly.
The best part? Vector NTI Viewer works well for both expert scientists and biology students! Whether you're learning in class or conducting serious research, this tool lets you create clear virtual representations of biological molecules.Download Vector NTI Viewer now!
