VirtualVP is a cool software tool that helps you connect up to four weather programs to one Davis Vantage Pro 1 or 2 weather station, whether it's a console or an Envoy. Pretty neat, right?
The best part? Setting it up is super easy! You just need to adjust the COM port of your VP console in the Communications Settings of VirtualVP. Then, each virtual console should use Virtual COM ports from COM16 to COM19. And guess what? In the next version, it will automatically set these values for you!
If you want to connect any weather programs to VirtualVP, you'll need to change their COM port settings. By default, the installation will have ports set up as COM6, COM7, COM8, and COM9 for this purpose. So just make sure each of your weather programs uses one of these four ports.
The User Guide that comes with it is for an older version, but don't worry! We are updating it so that it reflects all the current features and settings. This way, you'll have all the info you need at your fingertips.
If you're excited about making your weather data collection easier and more efficient, download VirtualVP today and start connecting those programs!
