Votaro is a super easy-to-use Esperanto dictionary. It’s based on the original Vortaro that Zammenhoff published way back at the start of the 20th century. So yeah, it’s a bit old-fashioned!
This dictionary keeps all the root words that Zammenhoff created and shows translations in a bunch of different languages. It’s really cool because it gives you that classic feel while still being helpful.
Votaro is built using the QT4 framework, which makes it pretty reliable. Plus, it uses a SQLite database to store all those dictionary entries. If you’re thinking about expanding its vocabulary, it wouldn’t be too hard to add more words to the SQL database.
However, keep in mind that maintaining all those languages might get tricky if you want to include even more vocabulary. But for what it offers right now, Votaro does a great job of providing essential translations.
