VOVSOFT - Tree Notes

Notes allow you to create reminders and write down important information you stumble upon during your research or browsing sessions.

It is not uncommon to see yellow sticky notes on a desktop and, while Windows comes with its own note taking app, there are also third-party applications that strive to deliver feature-rich alternatives.

One such tool is VOVSOFT - Tree Notes, a simple desktop tool that allows you to create multiple notes and keep them organized in a tree-like structure for increased efficiency.

The application comes in two editions: a classic installer-based one and a portable one. Needless to say, the latter brings a few extra advantages, such as the possibility to use it on the go and zero impact on the system’s registry.

VOVSOFT - Tree Notes allows you to create as many notes as you need in a list. Child notes you add can be easily outdented, with the click of a button. The content of each note can be previewed in the right-side of the window, in the editor’s area.

There is an embedded text editor that allows you to create and format the text of the note exactly as you want. The editor features basic text formatting tools to work with, similar to what you find in Notepad, for instance.

You get to change the text alignment, add bullets or format it to bold, italic and underline. The font can also be formatted, but that is about the extent of the editor’s capabilities, not that you need more in a simple note taking application.

VOVSOFT - Tree Notes can store your relevant notes and reminders but, unfortunately, it does not allow you to place them on the desktop, which could come in handy for quick reminders.

The hierachical structure allows you to keep notes organized and manage content in a clear and concise way. Other than that, it gave me the impression that it is meant to be as simple as possible, with a basic feature set and nothing more.
