What is WeatherMAN (former WChannel Desktop Weather)?

WeatherMAN

WeatherMAN is a handy little Vista gadget that shows you the current weather for your chosen area. It’s super lightweight, so it won’t slow down your computer at all.

Easy to Use Interface

This program has a clean and simple design that makes it easy to navigate. You can quickly access some settings without getting lost in complicated menus!

Find Your Weather

Want to check the weather for your town? Just type in the name of your city or its ZIP code into the dedicated search box, and you're good to go!

Customize Your Settings

You can personalize things like:

  • The hour format (choose from 12, 24, or even 36 hours)

  • The unit of measurement (Celsius or millibars)

  • The way you get weather alerts (normal, loud, quiet, or silent)

  • Automatic update checks for the latest info

Select Your Theme

You also get to pick from different themes and set up proxy settings if you need them. Plus, WeatherMAN gets its data from the Weather Channel, so you know it’s accurate!

Stay on Top of Things

If you want WeatherMAN to stay visible while you work on other stuff, you can keep it on top of other windows. You can even move it around your screen and adjust how see-through it is.

A Few Limitations

The only downside? WeatherMAN doesn’t support checking multiple locations at once. But considering how light this tool is on system resources, that's a small trade-off!

Your Go-To Weather Tool

In short, WeatherMAN is a fantastic desktop tool that keeps you updated with weather conditions wherever you are! It’s super easy to install and set up for any user—whether you're tech-savvy or just starting out.
