What's New in This Release:

Admin Ease-Of-Use: The most frequently used administration items have been moved from the administration interface into ASP pages.

API: Application Programming Interface allows programmers to create new functions within WebBoard and integrate other programs with WebBoard functions.

Configuration and Upgrade Ease-of-use: More of the configuration is done via web forms (as opposed to config files). More customization and configuration is preserved when upgrades are performed.

Email enhancements: Significant enhancements have been added to the way that WebBoard interacts in the email environment. While "watching a topic" via email, the entire text of the message is contained in the email (not just notification that a new post has been made). Users can be asked to confirm identity via email when posting messages from an email client.

Search: Searching for WebBoard has been enhanced to allow date ranges and searches across all boards.

Security: New security settings are available to ban users by IP address, enhanced processing on filter words,

Single SignOn: It's easier than ever to integrate WebBoard into a "single sign on" scheme that lets your users sign onto your site, then seamlessly interact with WebBoard without having to use WebBoard's login page.

External Authentication: Most sites will be able to integrate with Active Directory or NT Domains by just a "check box" in the configuration.

Statistics: A rich variety of useful statistics on how your WebBoard is actually being used is now available.

Ranking and rating: User "ranks", which are completely customizable, are available to identify and recognize the most valuable contributors. Message ratings are aggregated and averaged up into a rating for the entire topic.

UI Improvements: a "My WebBoard" home page is now available for quick access to favorite boards, conferences and topics. Topics "percolate" active messages to the top for quick access.
