WebPage Snapshot Library

Created to aid developers in creating picture snapshots of both local HTML files and URLs, WebPage Snapshot Library harnesses the capabilities and features of the MS Edge WebView2 to deliver COM and DLL components ready to be used in both 32-bit and 64-bit software running on Windows 10 and Windows 11.

The picture snapshots are saved locally to PNG format or as a bitmap file. WebPage Snapshot Library displays a thumbnail of the page as well, saving it to the same format as the picture snapshots. You are free to configure the height and width of the snapshot picture, but not as absolute values. Instead, the input picture is resized to preserve the aspect ratio and make sure the picture snapshot keeps its original appearance.

The WebPageSnapshot.dll file is used natively without COM. C++ API and Delphi headers are included. COM classes are registered automatically as you install the library using setup.exe. Otherwise, manual registration of the classes is mandatory. The classes must be registered on the user’s computer as well when the app is distributed.

Microsoft Edge is required to use this library and a modern development environment is necessary as well. Using the library in a commercial environment requires a license.
