Win9x PassView is a handy tool for recovering lost or forgotten passwords on older Windows systems like Millenium, 98, and 95. While it can run on newer versions of Windows, it won't help you find those keys there.

Easy to Use Password Recovery

This software is completely free and super simple to use. It helps you uncover four types of passwords: the username and key for the current user logged in, cached passwords, network share keys (which only work if you're using share-level access), and even screensaver passwords.

Straightforward Interface

The interface is easy on the eyes! It has just one window with three buttons that let you show the Windows passwords, copy info to your clipboard, or exit the tool. Once you hit the command button, it quickly identifies and displays all your keys. You can see who's currently logged in along with their password and any cached passwords (like resource type and name).

Encrypted Passwords

Keep in mind that some cached passwords might show up as encrypted. But don't worry! You can easily select text to copy or click a button to grab everything at once for your clipboard.

No Installation Needed!

You don’t even need to install Win9x PassView. Just save its executable file wherever you want—on your hard drive or even a USB flash drive. Then double-click it to get started! Plus, it doesn't mess with any DLL files or change any registry settings.
