When working with many open windows and applications, it may be a hassle to organize them efficiently. WindowGrid can help you in this regard, as you can effortlessly arrange them in a customized layout.
Before getting to enjoy the functions of WindowGrid, you need to decide if you want to install it on your PC or you want to use it in a portable mode. If you do not necessarily prefer portability, you can set the app to run at startup without any additional settings.
You need to hold the left mouse button to move the current window, press the right button (without releasing the first one) and move the pointer to choose the starting grid position. Then let go of the right button and resize the window, while also releasing the left button when the window is in the position you like.
The default hotkeys are the mouse buttons - with two additional keys from your keyboard. However, you can replace them with whatever combination you feel most comfortable, especially if any of these hotkeys is in conflict with some pre-existing apps.
Basically, you need to assign keys to resize your window and to move it to the location of your choosing, so not many hotkeys are required.
Another setting you can alter in order to make sure WindowGrid suits your needs perfectly is to specify the size of the grid: the standard size is 4x4, but you can modify it.
You can also tinker with the blur radius and opacity, while activating or deactivating the radial gradient and the fill window.
WindowGrid might take some time getting used to, but it can increase your productivity once you arrange all your open windows and get a better perspective on them.
