DevOps concerns a multitude of tasks, most of which are centered around working with multiple terminals at a time, and instead of having to manage them one-by-one, why not host them all under one roof?
A program such as WindTerm was precisely conceived for a task of this kind: by bringing together SSH, Telnet, Serial, Shell, and SFTP terminals under one interface, users can more handily manage their DevOps tasks more effectively, as well as modify the interface to best reflect their workflows.
Insofar as the installation process is concerned, there isn't much to talk about: this is a portable tool, which means that unpacking it is all that's required to get it up and running. Upon launching the executable, you'll see a fairly elaborate, modern-looking interface, which is also fully modular.
You can launch commands through the built-in Command Prompt through the bottom panel just as you would normally, but you can also launch a different Shell session: PowerShell can be launched with admin rights, and desktop containers can also be engaged through that panel. Multiple such panels can be created, and splitting the groups and views is possible through the Window dropdown, allowing for more control over the interface.
There's also an Explorer and Filer on the interface. The former can help you organize and navigate to your Shell sessions, whilst the latter can act like a File Explorer of sorts, as it allows users to introduce their files and folders into their project.
Creating other Shell, SSH, Telnet, TCP, and Serial sessions can be handled via the Session menu. Users can tweak their sessions even before they're created: you can modify connection parameters thoroughly, and even change the way in which the Terminal behaves. For instance, the Backspace and Delete keys' functions can be tweaked right away.
WindTerm is a comprehensive solution for those seeking a robust, all-encompassing client for their DevOps needs: there's so much more that can be done with such a tool, and a power-user will know how to exploit them to full effect.
