WinLib Uninstall Manager

Software developers can use WinLib Uninstall Manager to integrate functionality into their products for removing installed applications from computers running the Windows operating system.

This is an ActiveX library delivered in a lightweight package, ideal for those who want to add extra uninstall features to their own applications. Although Windows has its own module for uninstalling programs, it doesn't always produce the best results, leaving behind files, registry entries or empty entries in the "Add/Remove Programs" list.

Unfortunately, the source code of WinLib Uninstall Manager isn't available for download unless you have already purchased the product. On top of that, the ActiveX control is old and discontinued, so it will not receive any further updates. It also cannot be purchased anymore. Nevertheless, you can download the last released demo from Softpedia.

Although the demo doesn't have the source code, it contains a sample app that can show you how Uninstall Manager works. It's wrapped in a simple and intuitive graphical interface, where all installed programs are automatically detected at startup.

You can view them in the list, sort results by displaying only standard apps, the ones from the Start Menu, system-related, hidden tools or updates, as well as show large icons and updates. The utility can also be asked to attempt to uninstall applications silently, without prompting any messages that require confirmation. The heuristic uninstaller can be disabled anythime.
