Wireless Connection Monitor

Wireless Connection Monitor is a Windows application designed to help you keep track of your wireless network connection's at all times, as the name implies. It features a few intuitive settings that shouldn't be difficult to figure out, regardless of their user's previous experience with networking software.

The setup procedure does not take a long time to finish, nor does it require special attention, since it sports familiar options.

As far as the interface goes, Wireless Connection Monitor adopts a small window with a simple structure that's easy to navigate, where a basic configuration has to be made at startup. Plus, the tool creates an icon in the system tray area for quick access, as well as starting, stopping and resetting the monitor.

You can select one or more preferred network adapters available in the list, and click a button to start monitoring them. Stopping this service is just as easily done. You can ask Wireless Connection Monitor to automatically run at system startup until further notice. Network status details can be later examined in log files.

The program is very light when it comes to CPU and RAM consumption, so it does not affect the computer's overall performance, nor interfere with the user's regular activity on the PC.

No error dialogs were shown in our tests, and Wireless Connection Monitor did not hang or crash. Overall, it gets the job done when it comes to monitoring the current status of the wireless network connection. However, the software application has not been updated for a long time, and other utilities offer the same functionality for free.
